Matthew Sier
Quality and Technical Sales Manager
Matthew's role and responsibilities include Technical Sales, Metallurgical Consultancy, Quality Assurance and Health and Safety within the IIDEA business.
​
Matthew graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 1995 with a BEng (Hon) in Materials Engineering and again in 2005 with an MSc in Engineering and Management.
​
He has worked at a number of companies within the Sheffield region including Barworth-Flockton Ltd (now part of ARCONIC), Super Alloys International Ltd, Independent Forging and Alloys Ltd and The National Metals Technology Centre (NAMTEC) before joining IIDEA in early April 2012.
​
Outside of work, and besides spending time with his family, Matthew enjoys a good beer and a curry, owns a classic Porsche 911 (ongoing restoration project), follows motor sport of most kinds and is a keen wildlife photographer and can frequently be seen on Big Moor in Derbyshire or around the Scottish Lowlands still looking for that perfect image of a red deer stag!
