Supervision of Mechanical Testing Programs
Here at IIDEA Ltd we have an extensive and wide-ranging experience in the field of mechanical and metallurgical testing processes and procedures. This experience has been gained through involvement in a large number of complex testing programs on a wide range of metallic materials for products and components for many high-technology industry sectors. We have worked with a wide range of materials from nickel and titanium alloys, stainless steels, alloy, low alloy and carbon steels as well as aluminium and copper based alloys.
Previous work packages have ranged from the manufacture of test specimens for routine material testing through the production of test specimens for proficiency testing programs (PTP) to extensive sample cut-ups of complete components containing hundreds of test specimens used in product and material evaluation.
We have first-hand experience in the development and operation of a UKAS Accredited BS EN ISO/IEC 17025 test laboratory. We developed this from scratch, launching and operating UKAS Accredited Laboratory number 8750, which was subsequently acquired by one of our partner companies, Independent Forgings and Alloys Ltd in 2016.
